Kodachrome State Park -- April 29

We again take a short trip to Kodachrome State Park. Apparently ancient geyser-like intrusions of sand and minerals were harder than the earth around them. When that earth eroded over time, here is what you get. Freud would have loved this place.




On return from a walk, we were greeted by a Chukar, a partridge which is native to Pakistan, with noises that were a cross between a quail and a very loud chicken.

They have been introduced to this neck of the woods and are real characters that are as interesting as the scenery. This one wanted to peck bugs or seeds on the roof of the rv and was quite noisy about our disturbing him.
