7/16 -- On our way to Glacier National Park

Barrett's Dam in Southwestern Montana along I-15. This makes the second year we have been impressed with SW Montana while going somewhere else. Last year we discovered Bannack ghost town and the Big Hole National Battlefield in this corner of the state.
The weather was so hot outside, 100 degrees +, we continued up to Flathead Lake just south of Glacier for the night. I don't know if it is the heat wave that is trapping the dust in the air, or the smoke from all the fires in the West, but there is a haze across the horizon that almost obscures the scenery. Hopefully it will be a little cooler in Glacier National Park or the glaciers might be all melted!
