June 1, Rain won't go away so we go west

The weather forecast for the next few days was more RAIN! In talking to our next door campers in Dillon, their family camping reunion had been canceled because the little kids had nothing to do. We decided to change plans and go west today and drive out of the rain. We drove through pretty constant and sometimes heavy rain until we got to the outskirts of Grand Junction. We pulled into a campground called Island Acres and camped near the Colorado River. It sure has gotten big, compared to the 20' width in Rocky Mountain National Park.
