Aug 9 - Cannon Beach

Our Moon Handbook of states has been very helpful in appreciating the history of Oregon as well as finding the most scenic viewpoints. Ecola State Park has a beautiful overlook of Cannon Beach -- and then we go stand in the way of the view.



That ends the sightseeing for the day. We are concerned about further rain and zip through Tillamook (will have to hit the cheese factory on a future trip). We head towards Devil Lake and try a KOA because we needed to do laundry -- involving a hair raising left turn across US 101 and sitting in a very tired park.
